Ever wanted 3D relief with a 2D function?

With such mature and professional software, we work hard to find new ways to help you do your job better, faster in an ever user-friendlier environment. Coming out soon, TypeEdit 2006 will not only convince you, it will surprise you. Just to give you a glimpse, check out the all new Chisel special effect and discover how we have just revolutionized the way you see 2D.

New in the special effects tools, the Chisel function allows you to give relief to your piece with a click of a mouse! Apply a shade effect on the contours whether they are closed contours or text or even combined, define the position of the light source and the effect is already visible. And because it is 2D, machining is fast and sharp.

“Chisel gives spectacular relief to your piece in 2D thanks to this smart lighting trick. Results obtained are so rapid and convincing you won’t believe it is 2D!”
Patrick Pécontal – Technical Support Director, Vision numeric.

Impressive rewards for 3DESIGN users in the UK!

Expert 3DESIGN user and independent designer Neil Rayment won the Silver Award for the Design Sections (2D) Silversmiths and Gold Award for 2D CAD presentation at the Annual Goldsmith Competition, United Kingdom. Held from September to mid-February, the event is organized by the GoldSmiths Company on an annual basis and is sponsored by the biggest companies in the jewellery trade (Cartier, Cookson, George Pragnell, etc.). Neil’s style naturally blended into his creation using 3DESIGN and convinced the jury.

Also noticed during a competition, Tamara Gomez was one of the first-prize winners of the Holts Jewellery and Design Awards 2005. Her Platinum cocktail ring set with diamonds was also created using 3DESIGN. Cheers to both of them!

“3DESIGN gives me playground for my creativity, it reacts as quick as my mind and that’s what I love about it!”
Neil Rayment, Advanced Jewellery Craft

Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics

Since February 2006, Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics French and German units are equipped with Type3 CAA V5 Based and TypeEdit licenses. The needs for marking as well as traceability have been increasing for this large company which already uses the CATIA program. After various successful series of tests (marking, legal texts, compatibility) in France and in Germany, the company decided to combine both solutions: Type3 CAA V5 Based and TypeEdit. Perfect compatibility between the two as well quality machining made the difference for Johnson Controls Automotive Electronics.

“After several tests, both our companies are happy to conclude the objective is met. Results are conform to those required by original specifications”
Didier Levy - Sales Director, Vision numeric.
